Quadrant Economics Lead Training Sessions on Valuation and Damages for a Tanzanian Delegation in Washington D.C.

In early April, Quadrant Economics participated in a three-day training in Washington, D.C. for a delegation of 26 state officials from the Solicitor General’s Office of Tanzania. The training sessions were conducted at the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and were led by ICSID’s Senior Legal Counsel Aïssatou Diop.
Directors Ettore Comi and Juan Riveros, along with Managing Consultants Brendan Moore and Ivan Vazquez, presented on a variety of financial and valuation topics during the course of the training. Mr. Comi and Dr. Riveros led sessions about general principles of quantum in investment disputes, financial statements and book value, discounted cash flow (DCF) and comparables valuation methods. Mr. Moore and Mr. Vazquez presented on economic and damages issues specific to disputes in the oil and gas industry.
The training sessions served as an excellent forum for the Tanzanian delegation, enabling state officials to engage with our quantum experts and gain a deeper understanding of financial valuation principles and specific damages issues relevant to investment disputes.
